BJP’s Siddharth claims he has covered 85% of campaigning

It’s 7.15 am and BJP’s Panjim candidate and sitting MLA Siddharth Kunkalienkar has already reached Mala along with his 12 volunteers where he plans door-to-door campaigning. Sharp at 7.30 am, Siddharth starts his campaigning in the narrow lanes of Mala with his supporters and volunteers distributing his Panjim city manifesto to each house explaining them about the developmental projects undertaken by the BJP and what are expected in the future. “We along with volunteers start the campaigning sharp at 7.30 am in the morning at the designated place and today we are campaigning at Mala. All our campaign schedules are planned well in advance,” said Kuncalienkar.
As the campaign progresses further more and more young volunteers join the group during which Siddharth gets massive response from the people saying that they are with him in the coming elections.
Speaking to Herald, while moving ahead, he said “We have completed 85 per cent of Panjim and we have got massive support and response across all sections and religions and I guess you too have seen that now.”
Further as he moves in the narrow lanes and areas of Mala, a lot of old people were seen welcoming him to their respective houses in which they tried to put problems in front of their MLA.
Exactly at 10.45 am volunteers along with the Siddharth stop for tea and snacks at a nearby store close to the campaigning area after which the morning campaigning session comes to an end and all the volunteers are ready for the evening session which begins at 5.30 pm and stretches up to 9.30pm.

AAP’s Valmiki says
planning is his USP
Likewise, new entrant and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Panjim candidate, Valmiki Naik was also seen campaigning at St Inez during the early hours of Friday. To be precise it was 8.45 am.
Like others, Valmiki too is visiting house-to-house requesting people for their support and to vote him for a change though his approach was surprisingly different as he was seen approaching people based on the non corruption tag.
“AAP had declared my candidature first and that is the main reason I have got ample time for campaign. People have accepted me and have seen AAP as the only option” said Naik. While requesting for votes, Valmiki says that he will make Panjim a model city and shares the developmental projects undertaken by the Delhi government.
As Valmiki further moved to the interior lanes for St Inez, people say that there is a need for change and put an end to corruption. “We take a lunch break at 1.30 pm in which we all come to the office and order lunch and after a brief break, we resume the campaign at 3.30 pm which goes until 9.30 pm. We prepare seven days’ schedule together so that everything moves in smoothly,” he added.

Babush’s alarm is set at 8.30 am,
he’s armed with vision document
Three-time MLA Atanasio (Babush) Monserrate starts his day early at 8.30 am with 25 supporters, including corporators. They spread over Panjim Constituency throughout the day distributing his vision document for the state’s capital in each and every house.
“I know all the problems of Panjim city and I have the solutions too. I have the ability to deliver, though my panel was ruling Corporation of the city of Panaji (CCP) I have been not ready to deliver as per the expectation of the people of Panjim only because this constituency was always ruled by my opposition,” said Monserrate of the United Goans Party.
He cites this as the reason why he chose to enter Panjim leaving Taleigao in the hands of his wife Jennifer. He is always accompanied by most of the corporators of CCP and prominent personalities of Panjim city while campaigning door to door. Unlike others, Babush gives equal importance to his rival candidates.
Except for one-and-half hours in the afternoon for lunch break, has been seen in all the nooks and corners knocking the doors seeking votes to change Panjim, he says.
Babush has been even seen in late evenings roaming around in the constitency visiting the vulnerable pockets which he feels needs to be addressed.

From Ponda to Panjim, GSM man has a lot on his daily agenda
The candidates for Panjim are sticklers for deadlines and they make it a point to start their day dot on their scheduled timing. Sharp 7.30 am at Campal, Dr Ketan Bhatikar, who is the Goa Suraksha Manch candidate in Panjim Constituency, begins his door-to-door campaign.
Like Siddharth, Ketan too is going house to house requesting people for their support and to vote him for a change.
“I get up at 5.30 am in the morning and get ready soon as I have to travel from Ponda to Panjim and begin door to door campaign sharp at 7.30” said Bhatikar
As the campaign progresses further more and more volunteers join the group during which Ketan gets massive response from the people saying that they are with him in the coming elections as they want a corruption free and development oriented type of governance.
“I have been getting good response from all the people, as people are looking for a change and that change is GSM, my approach to people is very simple, I tell them we like other party’s are not projecting false promises” he added
“Even though my candidature was announced late, I have been actively involved in campaigning with my volunteers. We have already covered a vast area in which GSM has been getting massive response” he said
During door to door campaign, the people were seen welcoming the GSM candidates and were also seen addressing their grievances which the current government has failed.
