SANGUEM: The false ceiling of the Netravali Government High School in Sanguem came down once again early last week. This time almost one fourth of the false ceiling of the staff room came crashing down. However no injuries were reported as the ceiling came down during school holidays.
A couple of months ago, a portion of the false ceiling of one of the classrooms had crashed. Luckily the incident took place when the students had just gone out of the classroom to play.
It may be recalled that last year the school was given a new look by the government by undertaking total renovation of the school premises with internal being done up with false ceiling.
Immediately after being informed of collapse of false ceiling, the contractor undertook the repair work.
The aggrieved parents have called for total inspection of the school premises by an expert team to avoid any unforeseen circumstances due to alleged inferior quality of work undertaken by the contractor.
