Maharashtra bus operators to stop Goa operations

BELGAUM: Snubbed by the Goa government, private bus operators in Mumbai, Pune and other parts of Maharashtra are almost certain to call off operations to Goa from Monday, to support the growing opposition to Goa's entry tax.

BELGAUM: Snubbed by the Goa government, private bus operators in Mumbai, Pune and other parts of Maharashtra are almost certain to call off operations to Goa from Monday, to support the growing opposition to Goa’s entry tax.
“The final decision to stop operations from Monday onwards will be ratified at a meeting of bus operators on Sunday night and this will affect thousands of passengers, as about 100 private buses from Mumbai and Pune and other parts of Maharashtra ply to Goa on a daily basis,”  Prakash Gavali told Herald.
