Cops zero in on house where terrorist stayed

PANJIM: Goa Police finally located the house where IM terrorist Sayyad Afaque stayed in while taking paragliding training in Keri in 2013.

On Wednesday, Pernem Police along with CID Special Branch, had visited Thorlebagh in Keri village along with Bangalore native Narendra Raman a paragliding trainer who has trained Sayyad in 2013.
Sources at Pernem police station said Raman identified the place where Sayyad had stayed during the training period. The place is owned by one Satish Polekar and is just 300 meters from Thorlebagh where Raman had stayed. Police are likely to submit a report to the North Goa Collector to take action under Section 188 CrPC against the house owner as according to police no tenant verification has been submitted at the Pernem police station.
Sayyad was arrested by Bangalore police in January this year, Raman also deposed before Bangalore and Mumbai ATS in the past in relation to the paragliding training to the IM associate.
Raman on Thursday left Goa after interrogation by Goa Police. He is a paragliding trainer and along with his wife Tara are also a part of ‘Xtacee Paragliding Club’ in Bangalore.
