PANJIM: A native of Uttar Pradesh has been taken into custody for allegedly possessing drugs worth Rs 5.50 lakh during his stay in Goa.
The Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Goa Police caught Alam Shah, aged 34 years, red-handed with suspected charas during a raid at Porvorim in the intervening night of April 16-17, 2021.

He was subsequently arrested under relevant sections of the NDPS Act and the suspected charas along with other articles have been seized for the purpose of investigation.
