SALIGAO: Varca Veterans defeated Vasco Veterans 1-0 to storm into the final of the all-Goa veterans soccer tournament organised by Saligao Sporting Club, at Saligao Sporting Club ground, on Friday.
The all-important goal for the winners was scored in the 5th minute by Karass who scored with a neat placement to make it 1-0.
Crossing over, Vasco Veterans time and again attacked the rival citadel but Varca’s last line of defence failed to bulge under pressure to hold to their one goal lead.
