PERNEM: Calangute police booked one Shankar Paik Rao, native of Khanapur, Maharashtra, in a theft case, on Monday.
According to police, 60 years old businessman Rajan Chainman Jain, native of Mumbai, filed a complaint against Shankar stating the suspected accused person allegedly committed theft of his wallet which contained Rs 22,000, 7 Chinese Renminbi, 3$ US, debit card of Bank of Baroda, Pan Card, Driving Licence, two mobile phones and key of Audi Car.
The complainant stated that the accused person, who was his employee, further abused him with filthy language and threatened to damage the vehicle.
The police have booked a case under Section 381, 504 and 506 of IPC. Further investigating is on.
