Anjuna Police arrest one with 3.10 kg of cannabis

The accused was identified as Saiman Mali (23), and he was in possession of 3.10 kg of cannabis, the police said.

MAPUSA: The Anjuna Police on Friday arrested an Orissa native for illegal possession of 3.10 kg at Arpora.

Mapusa SDPO Jivba Dalvi told Herald that they received a tip-off that a resident of Arpora was involved in peddling drugs. The police kept a watch on the man and laid a trap to nab him red-handed. 

“A team was formed under the supervision of PI Prashal Dessai and the accused was apprehended along with the cannabis,” SDPO Dalvi said.

The accused was identified as Saiman Mali (23), and he was in possession of 3.10 kg of cannabis, the police said. 

An offence under Section 20(b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS Act has been registered.
