PONDA: A 27-year-old youth from Kumbharjua died on the spot after he lost control over the bike he was riding while trying to negotiate a pothole.
According to Ponda police the youth, Pritam Premanand Shet from Golikade, Kumbharjua was proceeding to Ponda at around 6.30 pm, but when he reached Bhoma his motorcycle went in a pothole and he lost control over his bike and fell leading to severe head injuries which led to his death on the spot. The body was shifted to GMC. In another fatal accident at Usgao Tisk a pedestrian Raguveer Babay Naik (79) from Barazan Usgao died after he was dashed by a Kadamba bus today morning. It is learnt that the victim was hit by bus while he was crossing the road. Ponda police conducted the panchanama and have registered an offence against bus driver.
