inter-village football tournament organised by Fr Agnelo Youth Sports Club, Paroda and played at Panchayat ground, Avedem, Quepem, on Tuesday.
Maina Sports Club scored in the 17th minute of the first half through Manuel Castanha who guided the ball into the rival goal off a beautiful pass from his team mate.
During the last few minutes of the second half Mandopa made extra efforts and equalised when Mauvin Gomes punished the rival goalkeeper with clinical finish to draw the match and take his team into the ti-breakers.
In the ensuing tie-breaker Christo Hilario, Joe Fernandes, Jose Fernandes, Savio Fernandes and Velso Fernandes scored for Maina Sports Club whereas for Mandopa Sports Club Clinton Gomes, Mauvin Gomes, Joseph Gomes, Navin Pereira and Alvito Colaco netted the goals.
