Duo escapes unhurt in freak mishap at Bicholim

Two persons escaped unhurt in a freak road mishap when their car fell into a pond at Dabdabo Bicholim on Saturday.
According to reports, Milind G Rane along with a friend Shekhar Prabhugaonkar was proceeding from Bicholim to Sarmanas when the driver, Milind, took a glance behind and lost control of the vehicle.
Milind got further confused when he suddenly saw an oncoming bus and veered his car off the road. The vehicle fell into an artificial pond created by a mining company. The duo escaped unhurt and the car was later retrieved by the fire force.
Meanwhile, heavy rains on Saturday led to a number of trees getting uprooted at Bhamai Pale. Similar incidents were also reported at Haturlim-Mayem.
