Reliance One win by 3 wickets

PANJIM: Reliance One won by 4 runs against Dr DY Patil in the first semi-final of the Goa Corporate League match at the Goa Cricket Academy, Porvorim, on Saturday.

PANJIM: Reliance One won by 4 runs against Dr DY Patil in the first semi-final of the Goa Corporate League match at the Goa Cricket Academy, Porvorim, on Saturday. 
Reliance One won the toss and elected to bat. They put up a total of 201 for 4 in their 20 overs. Tejinder and Hitesh Dalal opened the batting for Reliance. They suffered an early set-back as Tejinder was sent back to the pavilion for just 4 runs. Skipper Saurabh Tiwari put up an unbeaten 84 off 51 balls and was supported by Jitesh Sharma who scored 62 off 33 balls before being dismissed by Vyshak. The DY Patil bowlers couldn’t do much to contain the batting as Navshad Shaikh picked up 2 wickets while Rishi Arothe and Vyshak scalped a wicket each. 
In reply, Dr DY Patil were bundled out for 197. Opener Ruturaj Gaikwad fell short of 3 runs of his half century as he was dismissed by Pawan Negi. Navshad scored a 52 off 36 before falling to Nideesh’s spell. Rinku Singh scored 71 off 27 balls. 
The Reliance One bowlers put up a decent performance to restrict their opponent. Player-of-the-Match Nagarkoti scalped 3 wickets while Anukol Roy picked 2 wickets.  Meanwhile in the second semi-final, ONGC won by 7 wickets against RBI.
