It is really shocking to see that the gas cylinder company and distributors are resorting to new tricks and fooling the customers. Now LPG cylinders are filled with water instead of gas. The seal is tampered, the cylinder doesn’t last long, is half weighted and water filled gas cylinders and damaged ones are sold to customers. The distributors of various gas cylinder companies are taking Goans for granted. Most of Goans don’t raise their voices against such illegalities so the dealers take full advantage of the situation. Most of the times, the cylinders are underweight.
The staff at the distributor agency are untrained and are often rude with the customers.

The owner of the agency must prominently display his name, telephone number and registered number on the agency board at their offices, sub stations and on the gas cylinder vehicles which they often conceal from the customers.
A suggestion/ complaint book must be maintained and made available to domestic customers on demand.
Remember that it is safety and responsibility of the distributors to sell products of correct quality and quantity and provide excellent customer service. The LPG theft racket should be stopped and the culprits and agencies cheating consumers should be booked.
