We come across many people in our day lives today that are in love or committed to someone. We tend to see them in a bus, college and almost everywhere. Such people are always in their own world not knowing what is happening around them. There is a very famous dialogue; everything is fair in love and war. On reading this few questions arise in mind. What is love? How does it happen? Do some people take love seriously? Finding answers to these questions is very important. But first we will have to understand what love is?
Some believe love means talking to your loved one for long time on phone, some believe going on a date with your crush is love, one makes you good morning call that’s love etc. each of us have our own opinions and definitions about love. Love is some kind of an inner feeling that comes straight from your heart for someone special for you. I agree upon it that giving your loved one a gift or going with him/her on a date is needed as these are some ways to express your feelings for that person. But I believe true love is when the person whom you love is always there for you in good and bad time. He/she should always put you first in her or his life.
Today life has become very fast and people don’t have time for each other all of us have stress like work deadlines to meet, work overloads, exam pressures etc. which has had a bad impact on our relationships and these are some main reasons that have led to rise in number of breakups and divorces. So what can be a solution to this problem?
I believe there are three main pillars of a successful relationship, first is faith. In every relationship faith is the most important foundation to build a strong relationship. No relationship can survive for long time without faith. The person whom you love should be interested in you and not in how much money you have. We all come to know about such people who get into a relationship only because the person they are committed to is rich and can help secure their future, which in my opinion is completely incorrect. Love a person on how he is and not because he is rich. And third and very important pillar is understanding. In every relationship there should be a good tuning and understanding between both which helps a relationship survive any situation. Doctors believe that love is the very important anti-depressant in one’s life.
According to a study conducted a person in love is less depressed than any other person. Giving time for your relationship is very important in this life filled with so many deadlines to meet. Love is not something that money can buy it is a lifetime asset that you get just once and protecting is the responsibility of every person who is in a relationship.
So let’s understand what love means and its importance in our lives, and try to build better relationship for our future and the future of our loved ones.
