PANJIM: Dinesh Govekar (silver 65 kg), Naivedh Shetkar (silver 90 kg) and Srikant Hajare (bronze 65kg) excelled at the Mayor Trophy Western India Bodybuilding Championship held at Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, recently.
Gaurish Kinlekar (4th place 60 kg), Raju Teli (5th place 70 kg), Ajay Dessai (in top 10 70 kg) and Sudarshan Girup (in top 10 75 kg) were the other bodybuilders who gave a spectacular performance.
Altogether, 157 bodybuilders from Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chattisgarh, Vidharba, Gujarat and Goa participated.
Team coach Viraj Arabekar had put in great efforts and gave proper guidance for the bodybuilders. Sanjay Patil, president GBBFA, who had accompanied the team at Ujjain, was all praise for all winners and participants, for getting medals.
Sanjay thanked Sports Minister Manohar (Babu) Azgaonkar for support, Executive Director, SAG, for cooperation.
