SAO JOSE DE AREAL: Nuvem Sports Club shunted out Varca Sports Club 4-2 via the tie-breaker to storm into the final of All Goa Sao Jose de Areal Panchayat Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club, at Padribhat ground, Sao Jose de Areal, on Saturday.
Both the teams were locked goalless draw at the end of regulation time.
Varca Sports Club were the first to settle down and Clavis Gonsalves muffed sitter.
At the other end, Nuvem Sports Club went into attacking mode and Stephen Colaco’s goal bound shot was saved on the goal-line by rival defender Vilroy D’Cruz.
Post resumption, Nuvem Sports Club fired all cylinders and nearly broke the deadlock Sanford Colaco’s was off target.
In the ensuing tie-breaker, Ryan Alvares, Nicolau Colaco, Sanford Colaco and Merriston Coutinho were on target for Nuvem Sports Club while Joylon Cardozo and Constancio Rodrigues found the mark for Varca Sports Club.
