PONDA: As the Election Commission of India on Saturday announced the schedule for Assembly poll the flying squad swung into action and cleared the posters, banners and hoardings put up by political parties across Ponda city on Sunday.
The city, which was fully covered with political hoarding and banners since the past two months, was a nuisance causing distraction to commuters.
The several aspirant candidates of various political parties had displayed their flags, banners /posters. The posters itself were competing and clashing with each others at nook and corner, prime spots and junctions in each constituency of Ponda taluka.
