Mercedes Crash: Fatorda Driver Sent To 2-Day Police Custody

A 32-year-old Mercedes driver from Fatorda has been remanded to two days of police custody by a court in connection with the fatal accident at Sancoale. Police allege that the Mercedes rammed into a motorcycle and dragged it for a considerable distance before catching fire and being completely gutted. The motorcycle rider, 42-year-old Ashok Kumar Chavan, later succumbed to his injuries. The driver was arrested by Verna Police, who are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
