MARGAO: A superb brace by striker Jollis Ribeiro helped Secreamvaddo Sports Club to rout Durga Sports Club 7-0 to sail into the quarter-finals of Chinchinim Villagers football organized by Union of Chinchinim Villagers at church ground, Chinchinim, Tuesday. Secreamvaddo led 4-0 at the half time.
In a one sided affair, Secremavaddo virtually toyed with the fragile rival defence. They opened the floodgates in the fifth minute when Joston Bugga beat the rival goalkeeper with an adroit placement.
Spurred by the early success, Secreamvaddo intensified their attacks as Vivek Chari tapped in from close range for the second goal.
Then onwards, Secreamvaddo scored at regular intervals as Jollan Pereira scored five minutes before the break and just before the stroke of half time Jollis Ribeiro made it 4-0.
The second half did not bring any respite to Durga as their opponents attacked from the flanks as Tunard Fernandes put the issue beyond doubt.
Subsequently, Jollis scored his second and in the dying minutes, Mario Rodrigues rounded off the tally with a neat finish.
