Seen in the picture is an exposed circular gap over a chamber slab situated along the roadside near Almeida High School in the vicinity of old bus-stand in Ponda.
Many school students proceed along this strategic location and the existing gap turns dangerous to the lives of innocent children.
There is every possibility of their leg getting stuck inside this gap resulting in serious consequences. As on Friday, November 30 at 6:40 pm, situation in this regard was found to be unchanged.
It is absolutely necessary for the concerned authorities to cover up this gap at once so that public in general and school students in particular are assured safety on a permanent basis.
Let us hope that swift positive action would follow in this important matter in public interest.
