PANJIM: The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) executive committee has granted its consent to introduce the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) for Class IX from June 2014 and for Class X in June 2015.
The executive committee which met on Thursday deliberated in-depth on a report submitted by a committee constituted to chalk out the modalities for introducing CCE for Classes IX and X.
The executive committee has however recommended the conducting of workshops which have been proposed from the first week of December 2013.
Chairman of the Goa Board J R Rebello said, “The Board will conduct these workshops in collaboration with the Centre for Assessment, Evaluation and Research, CBSE and Pearson Group.”
As many as 100 principals and teachers will participate in the workshops that will facilitate dissemination of date on implementation of CCE for Classes IX and X.
Rebello said that the feedback on this new system from heads of institutions and teachers will be crucial for effective implementation of the CCE.
