“All the stakeholders are requested to attend the meeting to discuss their concern regarding rehabilitation issue during and after construction of new building at the site after demolishing the old one, execute the modalities of lease agreement and other related issues before going ahead with the demolition,” informed Fernandes.
It may be recalled that after inspecting the building, PWD had submitted its report advising CCMC to vacate the premises and initiate action to demolish it.
According to Fernandes, he put up the PWD report before the council meeting on January 27 and the council asked him to act as per rules and regulations of the Municipal Act.
