PANJIM: The Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) has drafted Supply Code Regulations for Goa, to be adopted by the Electricity Department to provide efficient, cost-effective and consumer friendly service to its over five lakh consumers.
The “Electricity Supply Code and Related Matters” Regulations 2015, have been made public for stakeholders comments and suggestions. Once notified, the code will replace the existing JERC code 2010.
“This code details the obligations of the licensee (electricity department) and consumers vis-à-vis each other and specifies the set of practices that shall be adopted by the licensee to provide efficient, cost-effective and consumer friendly service to the consumers,” the regulations say.
