MAPUSA: Johnan A downed Queen Valankani 2-1 via the tie-breaker to emerge winners of the 6th All Goa 5-A-side football tournament, organised by Margaret Bosco Bal Sadan(MBBS), a Don Bosco Home for Boys in Need, on Sunday.
The final began at a slow pace with either teams looking to snatch an early goal.

In the first half, Johnan A’s Benedict saw his header miss the target after being set up from the midfield.
The second half saw either teams miss several chances and the proceedings ended in a goalless draw. Benedict and Cajetan netted for Johnan while Ramnath scored for Queen Valankani.
Fr.Joe Fernandes (Rector), Fr.Jose Sequeira (Administer) Leon Pereira (Past Pupils President MBBS) and Esteven D’Souza were present for the final.
The tournament saw 32 teams from around Goa battle it out for the title at Paliem Ucassiam ground.
