PANJIM: The first phase of online training for almost 1000 teachers from primary, secondary and higher secondary schools began on Wednesday. The training will enable them to track their students to ensure improvement in their learning.
Nearly 10,500 teachers would be trained in phased manner.

The Directorate of Education, State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and Goa Samagra Shiksha (GSS), in association with Adhyayan Foundation, Tata Trusts and Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS), Hyderabad has organized online training programme on ‘Effective Planning for Achievement of Learning Outcomes’.
Director of Education Vandana Rao informed that the phase one of training 1000 teachers has started with 167 batches of 30 teachers each along with two master trainers and two technical support staff for each group.
Nearly 406 Master Trainers, comprising of teachers and heads of school, faculty from DIET and BRCC have been trained.
Subsequently, these Master Trainers are now providing online training to the teachers from May 13 to May 16. The objective of the programme is to enable school leaders and teachers to engage with virtual platforms and pedagogical processes they enable, for learners to learn, synchronously and asynchronously, from material available online.
It will also help the school to plan their academic year, taking into account the number of teaching days, summative assessments, events and activities.
