The function was organised to recognise the support from various educational institutions and educational projects in Goa for excellence in social responsibility. RDA Minister Alina Saldanha was the chief guest and Fr. Lucio Dias was the guest of honour. Rose D’Souza was also present. They appreciated the social responsibility initiatives of IDF in Goa region. Awards were presented to principals, teachers, students and volunteers. Team IDF Dr Narayan B Iyer, Dr S Franklin, C A Mathew and Mario Quadros exhorted students to spread the message of goodness.
An invocation prayer dance was presented by students of St Anthony’s School, Veroda.
followed by the singing of the National Anthem by students Regina Matyrum High School, Assolna and volunteers of Our Lady of Rosary School, Fatorda. Of the 200 IDF Bal Gurukuls in India, there are 9 Bal Gurukuls in Goa. IDF also runs a women empowerment project in Goa.
