The Board conducted exams across 24 centres from March 31 to April 17 and 21,190 students answered the exam.
The pressure on higher secondary institutions is likely to increase this year as the number of SSC students has increased by more than 3,000 this academic year. Board records indicate that 18,103 students appeared for SSC exams in March 2014, which rose to 21,190 this year. The passing percentage, which was 83.51 per cent in 2014, could also increase.
Meanwhile, GBSHSE has listed seven schools from where students can collect their passing certificates-cum-grade mark sheets on May 26 from 3 pm to 5.30 pm.
The re-evaluation of answer books, verification of marks in the presence of parents or guardians and supplying of photocopies of answer books will be held on June 4, while verification of marks in absentia/presentia has been slated for June 12.
For the first time, the Board will introduce supplementary exams for students who have failed in one or two subjects. The exam is tentatively on June 24.
