CURCHOREM: A large number of people from Curchorem and surrounding areas thronged the streets to witness the Shigmo parade at Curchorem on Friday.
The Shigmo float parade, organised by Curchorem-Sanvordem Shigmotsav Samiti in association with Goa Tourism, was inaugurated by Sanvordem MLA Ganesh Gaonkar in the presence of GTDC Chairman and Curchorem MLA Nilesh Cabral and others.
The parade began from near the railway station and culminated at KTC bus stand. A large number of people gathered to witness the rich cultural traditional dances which were presented by groups of women and men attired in traditional costumes.
