MAPUSA: St. Joseph’s High School, Arpora thrashed Our Lady of Remedies High School, Nerul by 10-0 margin in the U-14 Subroto Mukherjee Bardez Taluka football tournament organised by DSYA, at GFA Duler Stadium, on Wednesday.
Topan Minj hammered 7 goals while Aryan Poll scored 3 goals.
In the second match, St. Michael’s Convent, Vagator registered a solitary goal win over Dnyanprassarak Vidyalaya, Mapusa in a closely contested match.
The all important goal was scored by Sahil Gadekar for Vagator boys to move into the next round.
In the third match, St. Xavier’s High School, Moira got the better of St. Theresa High School, Candolim 2-0. Striker Rakesh Sharma netted both the goals.
In the last match of the day St. Joseph’s High School, Calangute blanked LD Samant Memorial High School, Porvorim by a 6-0 margin.
Raul Xaxa and Premkumar Sharma scored a brace each while Leethan Silveira and Sanket Karapurkar scored a goal each for Calangute school.
