That a Self Help Group continues to operate in the Panjim market basement for collection of pay parking fees even after the expiry of its agreement with CCP, would be inquired into, said CCP Commissioner Melwyn Vaz.
Vaz, speaking to Herald today said that he would look into the matter following reports appearing in the local media. He did not rule out possibilities of floating fresh tenders for pay parking in the basement of the Panjim market, which is long due.
If one recalls the contract, which lapsed in September last year was not advertised afresh nor renewed. Vaz however categorically denied there being any procedural lapse in the agreement and claimed that the same did not require to be registered.
