MARGAO: Leader of the Opposition and Margao MLA Digambar Kamat on Thursday said the photographs where he was seen with the accused Kapil Jhaveri and 200 others around was at the inauguration of a bank’s branch.
“I don’t want to comment on that matter. The photographs are in public domain and investigation in the case is on” Digambar said.
Reacting to the entire issue, Fatorda MLA and Goa Forward Party (GFP) president Vijai Sardesai said, “Those who respect the laws of the land should let the law take its own course. Spokespersons should not consider themselves above the system and do disservice by manipulating or shaping the course or the outcome by their immature and inconsequential comments”.
Both leaders reacted after being dragged into Bollywood actor Kapil Jhaveri photographs fiasco.
The disgraced actor was amongst several arrested for possessing drugs and organising rave party at Vagator.
