Cocktails and Dreams, Palolem won the 7-a-side Canacona Taluka football tournament organised by Maxem Boys at Dapot ground, Maxem on Sunday.
Palolem defeated Maxem Boys by a solitary first half goal, which incidentally turned out to be a self goal in a goalmouth melee.
In all, 21 teams participated and the tournament attracted a good Sunday crowd.
The winners took home Rs 7,000 while the runners-up had to be content with Rs 4,000. Chief guest, Urbano Pereira and guest of honour, Agnel Barretto gave away the prizes.
Individual prizes – Best disciplined team Unique Boys, Agonda. Best player of tournament Cedric Travasso, Cocktails and Dreams, Palolem. Best goalkeeper of tournament Deton, Maxem Boys.
