BAMBOLIM: Goa Medical College Medical Superintendent Dr Shivanand Bandekar said that Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida’s health condition is better and he has been shifted to the VVIP room.
“Carlos has already started taking feeds and he can sit as well. Currently he is on medicines and physiotherapy and is completely stable with no new symptoms,” Bandekar said.
He added, “The blood supply is good now and the discharge will depend on how well he does in physiotherapy which is very important for him to get back his power which has gone down. We will decide on the progress of muscular recovery.”
Almeida was rushed to a private hospital on March 8 am after he suffered a ‘minor stroke’.
