Collem Police record 50-run win over Kalem SU to win Mollem cricket tourney

MOLLEM: Collem Police registered a 50-run win over Kalem Strikers United to win the cricket tournament organised by the Game Changers Sports Club, at Mollem, recently.
Electing to bat first, Apali smashed a quick-fire 21 off just nine deliveries to guide his team to a decent total of 73 for the loss of six wickets. Amir was the pick of the United Strikers bowlers as he managed to claim three wickets. 
The total posted by Collem Police proved to be too much for Kalem Strikers United as they were restricted to 23 for  8 wickets.  Noor Ahmed had a thunderous spell for Collem Police as he grabbed four wickets.
Chief guest  and GPCC president Girish Chodankar and Deepak Pauskar Sanvordem MLA gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of officials and other dignitaries.
Noor Ahmed was awarded the man of the series wile Aapali Kalangutkar bagged the best batsman award. Aamir Gadkar was declared the best bowler.
