Curtorim resident Manuel Pereira, 45, was found dead along side the road in Guirdolim village early Wednesday morning.
Maina Curtorim Police, however, said the deceased was apparently killed in a hit and run case as evident by the nature of injuries on his body.
PSI Suraj Samant said that the police rushed to Guirdolim after receiving information that body of a male person was lying dead on the roadside.
“After examining the nature of injuries, a case under the Motor vehicle Act stands registered against unknown persons for causing the death of Manuel Pereira, a resident of Raloi-Curtorim”, PSI Samant said.
Replying to a question, he said the post mortem report has said that the deceased might have died after being run over by a vehicle.
