VALPOI: The Valpoi police arrested a couple from Honda, Sattari on the charge of cheating a woman of Rs 26 lakh on the pretext of selling a flat owned by them.

The accused are identified as Vidisha Gawade and Vijaynath Gawade, residents of Honda, Sattari. Rupali Parwar of Gullem-Morlem, Sattari lodged a complaint stating that the couple induced her to purchase a flat from them for Rs 26 lakh. The accused intentionally failed to hand over the flat and also failed to return the money thereby cheating her.
