FATORDA: Our Lady of Carmel High School, Curtorim blanked Cresent High School, Fatorda 6-0 in the inaugural match of the Subroto Mukherjee U-14 boys football tournament, organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs (DSYA), at the Artificial Turf, Fatorda, on Friday.
OL Carmel HS Curtorim dominated the game from the word go and scored at regular intervals. However, despite conceding six goals, Cresent’s Mohammad Mudasheer had to be applauded for his heroics under the bar which saved his team further blushes. Mohammed denied the Curtorim school atleast four-five clear chances.
Curtorim side scored through Macnelle Dias and Ashex Fernandes who scored a brace each while Reuben Fernandes and Flavio Martin added a goal each to script their names on the score sheet.
Cresent HS did create chances at end of the game through Abrar but OL Carmel HS goalkeeper Rohan Gomes was determined to keep a clean sheet in the high-scoring game.
