District Collector, South has directed all the Mamlatdars in South Goa to identify all rivulets or nullahs wherein local residents have to pass through in the absence of culvert or a bridge.
Issuing a set of directions to the taluka mamlatdars as part of finalising the disaster management plan, the Collector G P Naik has further asked the authorities to identify alternate routes to access areas submerged under water and structures located on a higher plane which could be put to use as shelter homes for displaced persons in case of any calamity.
