Celerio diesel launched in Goa

PANJIM: Maruti Suzuki India introduced the diesel variant of its popular model Celerio in Goa. The car was launched by Panjim MLA Sidharth Kuncalienker, in th epresence of Vice President of Chowgule Industries pvt ltd Tejasree Pai, and Area Manager West 1 of Maruti Suzuki Rahul Bondre.

Celerio Diesel offers 27.62 kmpl, making it India’s most fuel efficient car. Earlier tagged as the Maruti Suzuki’s Celerio diesel, now its official name will be Maruti Suzuki Celerio 125 DDiS.
This also makes the global launch of DDiS 125, the first diesel engine designed and developed by Suzuki Motor Corporation. It carries forward the DDiS attribution of swiftness, drivability and compactness, offered in the highly successful diesel vehicle of Maruti Suzuki.  
The attractive factor about this car is all about what’s under the bonnet. Maruthi Suzuki’s new, in-house developed 783cc two-cylinder DDiS engine will be powering this car. The improved gear shifts have promised to offer effortless gear action. Also, due to its lightweight construction, this diesel engine only weighs 89 kg,.
