MAPUSA: CDJ Ribandar registered a comfortable 2-0 win over Augustias SC, Pomburpa to advance into the quarters of the 21st Vagator Soccer Cup, organised by Vagator PYSC, at Ozran ground, here on Wednesday.
Ribandar struck a goal in each session of play.
In the seventh minute, CDJ Ribander had a golden opportunity to put his team ahead but Deshank Kunkolkar’s shot was well saved by the Augustus keeper Naved Almeida.
However five minutes later, Ribandar’s Gaurav Kunkolkar scored the first goal off a solo run beating the onrushing keeper Naved Almeida of Augustus Pomburpa with a neat placement.
On crossing ends in the 51st minute, Ribandar’s Gaurav Kunkolkar latched onto a through pass from Deshank but his shot was well saved by the keeper Naved Almeida.
Ribandar further extended their lead in the 58th minute through Gaurav neat placement to make it 2-0.
