MARGAO: Another fire incident was reported in Margao on Wednesday, causing panic among locals and office workers. The fire broke out in the dry grass between the South Goa District Sessions Court and a nearby commercial building. The Office of Fire and Emergency Services was notified around 1pm and fire tenders rushed to the site to douse the flames.
The staff of the district court and workers from the commercial building were seen running for safety as the fire and smoke spread rapidly. The smoke was so thick that it caused uneasiness among people working in private offices in the vicinity, forcing them to leave the office premises.
