The FIR was registered following a complaint by the owner K K Suresh claiming that MLA Lobo and others demolished the structure of Night Club Agni and his house.
Earlier, the Calangute police had registered an FIR for demolishing the night club at Umtta Vaddo, Calangute.
When contacted, Lobo was unperturbed over the development claiming that he only went to the site to pacify the agitated villagers. “The Calangute police are doing their duty, while the villagers of Calangute are also doing their duty of cleansing Calangute, but why FIRs against me? I only went to the site to pacify the agitated villagers, who were uncontrollable,” said Lobo.
It may be recalled that the villagers of Calangute and Baga vent their anger over the night club, which were allegedly involved in prostitution in their premises, razing and damaging the structures on Saturday.
