PANJIM: Don Bosco Higher Secondary School won the U-19 championship in the women’s category, in the 1st Governor’s Cup Women’s Karate Championship organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Campal in technical assistance with the Traditional Karate Association, at Peddem Sports Complex, Mapusa, recently.
VD and SV Wagle, Mangeshi won the U-17 championship in the women’s category while Mary Immaculate Girls HS, Lourdes Convent HS, Saligao, GVP Shree Ganesh HS, Mapusa and Maria Bambina HS, Cuncolim were the joint winners in U-14 women’s category.
The Governor of Goa Dr Mridula Sinha was the chief guest while the other dignitaries present were Dr Ram Kripal Sinha, Secretary Sports J Ashok Kumar (IAS), Secretary to Governor Rupesh Kumar Thakur (IAS), Director of Sports & Youth Affairs V M Prabhu Dessai, TKAG President Suraj M.
