Sesa FA drub Churchill Bros to enter State U-18 final

MAPUSA: Sesa Football Academy made their way into the final of the GFA’s U-18 tournament, after drubbing Churchill Brother Juniors 6-2 in the semi-finals, played at Duler Stadium, here on Monday.

In the 10th minute of play Sesa went into the lead when Churchill defender Mustafa Shaikh in the process of clearing away Vishnu Gosavi’s strike, saw the ball enter his own goal, 1-0.
Thereon Sesa lads fired in goals at regular intervals through Kunal Salgaonkar(18th min), Vishnu Gosavi(21st and 37th min) Lionel D’Souza(26th min) and Ashley Cardozo(30th min)to go into halftime with a 6-0 advantage.
Changing ends Churchill managed to reduce the margin when Akash Sanadi got the better of the Sesa defender and charged into the 18-yard box before firing the ball home, 6-1.
Iad Aaron Fernandes who came off the bench for Churchill managed to get a goal to their credit scoring through a placing strike, 2-6.
Couple of minutes into the match Iad almost made it 3-6 however his powerful 35-yard freekick missed the Sesa goal by a whisker. 
Sesa FA will now take on Sporting Clube de Goa in the final which is slated for May 27 at Duler Stadium, Mapusa.
