The head of Political Science department at Goa University who is under investigation following a complaint from a student, has expressed his desire to take voluntary retirement.
Goa University Registrar Dr M Sangodkar confirmed that a letter has been received from him seeking to opt for voluntary retirement.
Sources told this paper that the letter would be examined by the university authorities before taking any decision. Notwithstanding the letter, the inquiry which is being conducted by a ten-member committee will continue, the sources said.
