*If the government had no intention of exploring the possibility of acting on the request of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti to have a censor board for performances including tiatr, why did the government ask the Information Department to examine the proposal?
* Why did the Information Department send the same file to Director Art and Culture who in turn sent the same file saying that a censor board can be set up only through a legislative process? The department even said that it would be the nodal agency for the censor board for plays while the Information Department would be the nodal agency for films etc.
*The Information Dept has specified that the Goa Licensing and Controlling Places of Public Amusement (other than cinema) and Performances for Public Amusement Rules 2015 have been drafted. The Information Dept has communicated to Herald that “the draft rules are based on the existing rules in Maharashtra”. So on what basis does the dy CM quote the CM and say that no such proposal was ever mooted
