Another massive spike with 523 cases, 4 dead

PANJIM: With 523 new cases on Friday, Goa saw its secong-highest single-day spike which took the tally to 16,006 cases in the State.

While the confirmed cases have crossed 16k, the active cases are 3535 and the recoveries stand at 12,296.

A total of 175 persons have succumbed to the disease. Three of the four deaths reported on Friday were from Mormugao.

The bulletin says that a 59-yearold woman from New Vaddem, Vasco, admitted at Goa Medical College & Hospital, expired on Thursday, an 84-year-old woman from Mormugao, admitted at GMC, with co-morbid conditions expired on Friday, another 70-year-old man from Baina-Vasco, admitted at ESI hospital, with co-morbid conditions expired on Thursday and a 53 year-old-man from Bethoda, Ponda, admitted at ESI hospital, with co-morbid conditions expired on Friday.
