Passport officer files forgery complaint

Passport officer S B Heere today filed a complaint with Panjim town police against a Quepem resident of producing fake documents to obtain a passport.
In his complaint letter, Heere accused Rexon Gomes of furnishing fake SSC and schooling certificates to get Emigration Clearance Not Required in passport.
“Rexon has also produced fake passport documents by showing them as genuine,” the Passport Officer further said in his complaint letter.
Panjim police are investigating a case under sections 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), 471 (using as genuine a forged document) and 420 (cheating) of Indian Penal Code.
