Vengurla local held with drugs
PANJIM(HR):Anti Narcotic Cell (ANC) on Friday night arrested a resident of neighbouring Shiroda village from Vengurla taluka for possessing charas worth Rs 87,000.
Police officials said that Nikhil Warkhandkar, 21, was arrested by ANC sleuths last night with 870 grams of charas at Kiran Pani in Goa jurisdiction.
The accused is being probed for his role in pushing drugs on Goan shores.
ANC last month had arrested a Nigerian national and his Indian wife, and had seized drugs worth Rs 31.54 lakh in the international market from Arpora beach.
