MAINA: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda eased their way past Maina Sports Club 4-1 to move into the semi-finals of the ICC Rebello Memorial inter-village football tournament, at St Rita’s Church ground, Maina, on Thursday.
Don Bosco dominated the match from the word go and took the lead in the 5th minute through Cliff Barreto before Edgar Noronha made it 2-0 in the first quarter.
Maina SC got back in the game as they managed to pull back a goal through Peter Dias. However, DBO Fatorda were much superior as they played better football and inflated their lead to 3-1, thanks to Valito Miranda. The winners led 3-1 at the break.
Crossing ends, Edgar Noronha completed his brace netting the team’s fourth goal. DBO will class with the winners of Tilamol SC and Sporting Club of Davorlim.
